In 2006, ASBM University, Bhubaneswar (ASBMU Bhubaneshwar) was established by His Excellency Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat – then Vice President of India – at Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, in the midst of nature and close to the Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary. At its inauguration, Shri Shekhawat spoke of a “new sunrise in management education”. ASBMU Bhubaneshwar is an autonomous institute recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, part of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The campus has an entertainment zone that provides students with indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, and Carrom to relax and unwind after a long day of studying. The campus has a food court that serves a variety of cuisines to cater to the diverse taste buds of students. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls, which are fully furnished and equipped with all the necessary amenities to make students feel at home. The campus has a fully air-conditioned central auditorium and mini auditorium, which are equipped with modern sound and lighting systems to facilitate events such as seminars, workshops, and cultural programs. The campus has an open-air theatre where students can organize outdoor events and cultural programs.

ASBMU Bhubaneshwar also offers Ph.D. courses that have a minimum of three years of coursework and a maximum of six years in length. If a candidate has a Master's degree or an equivalent degree with at least 55% overall marks, they are eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme. Written entrance exams called the ASBM Research Aptitude Test (ASBM-RAT) will be used to determine admission candidates
Aspiring candidates seeking admission to a postgraduate course must hold a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. And candidates seeking undergraduate course admission must pass 10+2 from a recognized boar
A bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is eligible for the MBA program. The candidate will be shortlisted based on their performance in any of the following entrance examinations- Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).
