Established in 1965, Arumugam Pillai Seethai Ammal College, Tiruppattur (APSAC Tiruppattur) is a higher education institution founded by a successful philanthropist and business tycoon in Malaysia. APSAC Tiruppattur's primary goal is to offer quality education to the impoverished and marginalized population residing in the underdeveloped Sivagangai District. Initially affiliated with the University of Madras, APSAC Tiruppattur is now associated with Alagappa University, Karaikudi, after being connected to M.K. University, Madurai. Furthermore, APSAC Tiruppattur's motto, "Ulluvathellam uyarvullal," which translates to "Thinking high is above everything," is derived from the Tamil Classic Thirukkural, recognized globally as the Universal Gospel. UGC has approved this college.
In all the fields of arts, commerce, and science APSAC Tiruppattur offers undergraduate programs in B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. as well as postgraduate programs in M.A., M.Com., and M.Sc. in all three of these fields. Additionally, APSAC Tiruppattur provides Research Programmes for M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees.

The students are required to have qualifying marks in their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board for applying in the undergraduate courses, for postgraduate courses they are required to have qualifying marks in their bachelor's degree obtained from a recognized university and for applying in the research programmes, they must have qualifying marks in their master's degree obtained from a recognized university.
Admission is provided to all of APSAC Tiruppattur's courses solely on the basis of merit. The candidate who will be provisionally chosen must appear for an interview with the admissions coordinator on the date specified in the notification card, accompanied by her parents or legal guardians.
