Army Institute of Technology, Pune (AIT Pune), was established in 1994 exclusively for the wards of serving and retired army personnel. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), AIT, Pune is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Students can pursue 4 undergraduate (UG) offering the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in AIT, Pune. The B.Tech degrees can be pursued in the specialisations of Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Engineering. Admissions of the Army wards at AIT, Pune take place on the basis of their merit in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main).

Army Institute of Technology, Pune, admits wards of serving and former defense personnel exclusively and follows an online method of admission. Applicants to AIT, Pune are selected based on their merit and eligibility criteria. AIT, Pune offers Undergraduate courses under the faculty of Engineering. Undergraduate (BE) applicants to AIT, Pune must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE MAIN). The applicants' selection is based on the rank secured or marks scored in the entrance examination. Aspiring Undergraduate applicants to AIT, Pune must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subjects. Selected applicants are called in for a final interview by AIT, Pune faculty members before their final selection.
