Andhra University, School of Distance Education, Visakhapatnam (AUSDE Visakhapatnam), has been a trailblazing institution in the field of higher education since its establishment in 1972. Its primary objective has been to expand access to higher education to diverse sections of society across various geographical regions, particularly in Andhra Pradesh.

Students enrolled in AUSDE Visakhapatnam follow the same syllabus and adhere to the same regulations as regular students of Andhra University. Furthermore, the degrees awarded are identical. The learning resources include self-learning study material, audio-video packages, and face-to-face interactions.

Andhra University, School of Distance Education, Visakhapatnam is also home to Gyan Vani, a community radio station that provides educational content to learners enrolled in AUSDE Visakhapatnam as well as other communities. It can be accessed at 106.4 Mhz on FM. Additionally, the School has 25 study centres that cater to the needs of its learners, providing services such as the sale of applications, dissemination of information, face-to-face interactions, and examination conducting.

Admission Procedure

Andhra University, School of Distance Education, Visakhapatnam (AUSDE Visakhapatnam) follows an online admission procedure. Students can apply for the various courses via the official website of the university. For admission to the undergraduate courses, students need to qualify the 10+2 level examinations from required stream, while for admission to the postgraduate courses, students need to qualify graduation degree in relevant fields.
