Andhra University College of Law, Vishakhapatnam, established in 1945 with an aim of imparting legal education serves as one of the premier Institutes of legal educational institutes in the country. With the limited resources available the college aims at preparing the students for advanced study and research at L.L.M. and PhD levels and developing their careers in the Bar.
AUCL, Vishakhapatnam receives the support of the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), a support programme funded by the Worlds Bank. Under the initiative of the college authorities, the students are exposed to Legal Aid Services and Clinical Legal Education through Legal Aid Camps and Legal Literacy Camps.
AUCL, Vishakhapatnam has a well-stocked law library where the students are exposed to numerous books and academic resources on legal matters and case studies.
AUCL, Vishakhapatnam has a Placement and Consultancy Cell that undertakes initiatives of placing students at numerous reputed organisations and law firms.
