Andhra University College of Engineering (AUCW), Visakhapatnam, established in 1946 envisions developing the institution into a centre of academic excellence and research by Andhra imparting technical education among the students.
AUCW, Visakhapatnam the constituent college of Andhra University offers sixty-seven courses with seventeen undergraduate and thirty-five postgraduate courses spread across the various disciplines of technology, engineering, and architecture. Under the support of the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), a project funded by World Bank, the college aims at developing the quality of technical education in the country.
The AUCW, Visakhapatnam is well-equipped with a Placement Cell that undertakes initiatives of providing its students with training and placement opportunities at numerous recognised institutions. The college haswell-equipped course-specific labs to provide students with a practicald approach to teaching for a better understanding of the subject matters.

The AUCW, Visakhapatnam campus has a decent infrastructure with the presence of an air-conditioned auditorium capable of accommodating nearly 300 people along with well-structured health centres and seminar halls.

Andhra University College of Engineering (AUCW), Visakhapatnam conducts its admission process according to the guidelines of Andhra Pradesh University. Candidates interested in seeking admission to the institution can apply through the institute's official website. The admission for undergraduate courses is based upon the merits secured by a person in the qualifying examination along with the merits secured in Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test ( EAMCET). Candidates who qualify by the criterion of eligibility are granted admission in accordance to a counselling procedure
