Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute (ADACARI), Tiruchirappalli, was first established in 1989 in Kumulur, Lalgudi Taluk of Tiruchirappalli, before being shifted to Navalur Kuttapattu, Srirangam Taluk of the same district in 1992.

ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, mission is to provide an exceptional learning atmosphere and academic activities for transforming students into experts in agricultural technology, the research process, technology transfer, and ‘agripreneurship’; and to provide novel solutions for short and long-term agricultural issues in the region through study, advancement, and entrepreneurship.

ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, offers 1 undergraduate (UG) and 5 postgraduate (PG) courses for students to pursue. The UG course is B.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture, while the postgraduate courses are M.Sc in Agronomy, Plant Protection Entomology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, and Horticulture (Fruit Science). The courses are approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU).

Regular classes are conducted by highly experienced faculty members who work tirelessly towards imparting quality education.

ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, provides the best available infrastructure on a 30-acre Campus to ensure the holistic development of the students. The Library at ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, has a collection of 20000 volumes of books, theses, video lessons, journals, and magazines, as well as 5 daily newspapers. The air-conditioned Library is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The digital section allows members access to a host of e-resources over WebOPAC and CeRA. Students are provided separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls at ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli. Promoting an active lifestyle for the students, ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, has facilities for both indoor and outdoor games such as football, cricket, badminton, ball badminton, basketball, volleyball, handball, kabaddi, kho kho, table tennis and carrom, as well a running track.

Regular classes are conducted in spacious classrooms, while practical sessions take place in course-specific state-of-the-art laboratories. The cutting-edge Computer Centre at ADACARI, Tiruchirappalli, is equipped with LCD screens and projectors. The seminar halls are used to host various academic and social events. ADAC&RI Tiruchirappalli has an excellent Medical Facility with a 4-bed ward, OPD and a pharmacy within, catering to the students and the staff.

Admission Procedure

Eligible candidates (co-ed) can apply for admission to Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, Tiruchirappalli in the undergraduate course of B.Sc in Agriculture (Hons), on the admission portal of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and register themselves after duly filling up the forms. The students are shortlisted based on their merit on the previous academic examination after which they need to go through an online counseling procedure. The selected students are required to verify their documents and follow the subsequent admission procedure for securing a seat.
