Amity University, Ranchi, Jharkhand (AUJ), was established in 2016 by an Act of the state government of Jharkhand and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). AUJ, Ranchi aims to be a new hub of knowledge in Ranchi for academia and industry to join hands and train bright young minds into global leaders. The Campus is located at Nivaranpur, in the heart of Ranchi, and is easily accessible via a large number of transports.

Amity University, Ranchi offers 17 undergraduate (UG) courses, 4 integrated (UG+PG), 8 postgraduate (PG) courses and 3 doctorate (PhD) courses. Among the UG courses, the division stands as follows: BA in English, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Economics; B.Com; BBA; BCA; B.Sc in Information Technology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, and Forestry and Wildlife Sciences; B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering, and Biotechnology. The 4 integrated courses offered by AUJ are: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law; Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Legislative Law; Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration; Bachelor of Computer Application and Master of Computer Application. The courses are taught by a faculty who are among the best in the country, and who set high standards of moral and ethical values among students. Programmes organised by Amity University, Ranchi help the faculty stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies. The industry Interaction Placement Cell of Amity University, Ranchi, is a student-driven body, working under the guidance of Amity officials. The Cell is in charge of creating and developing corporate relationships to ensure the comprehensive development of all students’ careers. Campus placement drives are organised regularly, and industry leaders are invited to recruit bright minds at Amity University. Workshops on Resume Writing, Group Discussions, Mock Interviews and Sample Aptitude Tests are conducted to better prepare the students for job interviews.

Admission to Amity University, Ranchi takes place both online as well as offline. Students scoring over 80% in their 10+2 level examinations are exempted from the selection process and are eligible for direct admission. AUJ provides the best available infrastructure for the students. A well-equipped library, specialised laboratories with up-to-date technology, two auditoriums, and a football field and a basketball court, are all present for the students to avail.

Admission Procedure

Admission to Amity University, Ranchi, can take place both online and offline. Candidates can submit the application form for different courses like - BBA, B.Sc (Hons), B.Tech, B.A (Hons) and others, upload the necessary documents and pay the requisite fees via the official website, after qualifying the 10+2 level examinations. Students scoring over 80% in their 10+2 level examinations are exempted from the selection process, and are eligible for direct admission. For admission to the B.Tech courses the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-Main) score and the law courses the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is required.

Scholarships

Amity University, Ranchi, has multiple scholarship programmes to support the bright young minds. The "Scholarship-cum-Fast Track Admission" allows students passing 10+2 level examination with over 80% marks to take admission to Amity University without going through the selection procedure, except in the cases of Architecture / Design / Education / Fashion / Fine Arts / Law and Physical Education programmes. Students also receive scholarships based on their merit in the 10+2 level examination from recognised boards. 100% scholarship is received by those students whose aggregate is 93% and above, 50% scholarship for an aggregate between 88%-92.99%, and 25% scholarship for an aggregate between 70%-87.99%.

Direct admission to Integrated Law programmes is also available for candidates scoring 70 and above in CLAT. For B.Tech programmes, the scholarship is based on the JEE Main scores, for which the slabs are: 100% scholarship for 97% and above in JEE Main, 75% scholarship for 94%-96.9% in JEE Main, and 50% scholarship for 90%-93.9% in JEE Main. Amity University, Ranchi also offers "Sports scholarships" under the following criterias: 100% scholarship to international players, 50% scholarship for national medal winners, and 25% scholarship for national participation. Candidates who meet the minimum academic eligibility criteria and are wards of martyred defense personnel are eligible for the "Martyr's Scholarship" at Amity University, Ranchi.
