Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur (AIMS Thrissur) is a highly esteemed institution in the healthcare sector, situated in the state of Kerala. AIMS Thrissur is recognized as a center of excellence in providing holistic healthcare and is renowned for its pioneering work in medical and nursing education. AIMS Thrissur is led by the Amala Cancer Hospital Society and falls under the jurisdiction of the Devamatha province of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), a religious congregation indigenous to India. AIMS Thrissur has its roots in the Amala Cancer Hospital, which was established in 1978. Managed by the Devamatha Province of the CMI Congregation founded by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, AIMS Thrissur comprises a Medical College, College of Nursing, Nursing School, Super-speciality Hospital, Teaching Hospital, Cancer Hospital, Cancer Research Centre, Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Centre, a Homeopathic Hospital and Research Centre, a Pharmacy Production Unit and Bethanygram (A home for the aged). AIMS Thrissur is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences. 

AIMS Thrissur offers MBBS, MD, MS, M.Ch., and DM degrees. For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for PG admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree. Both UG and PG admission will be done on the basis of the score obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

The Faculty of AIMS Thrissur is a dedicated and highly trained team of professionals, devoted to providing students with the highest quality of education. With a range of qualifications and expertise, the faculty is dedicated to creating an engaging learning environment and to helping students reach their full potential.

AIMS Thrissur has ICT and Wi-Fi-enabled Lecture Halls and classrooms that provide students with a comfortable learning environment. Additionally, students are receiving practical skills through well-equipped laboratories, which help them develop their technical skills. AIMS Thrissur has a seminar hall, conference rooms, AV aid rooms, and an auditorium that cater to various academic needs. The auditorium is equipped with the latest technology that provides an excellent platform for hosting events, cultural programs, and seminars. The library at AIMS Thrissur is meticulously curated, housing over 4421 books, including 900 reference books, 360 CD-ROMs, 12 international journals, 18 national journals, 363 bound volumes, and 259 dissertations and projects. The library is an excellent resource for students who want to enhance their knowledge and stay updated with the latest happenings in their field of study. AIMS Thrissur playground caters to three games: football, basketball, and volleyball, which are utilized by students and staff for conducting various outdoor games. Indoor facilities are also available for indoor games such as badminton, chess, and carrom. AIMS Thrissur has comfortable and well-furnished hostel facilities (both male and female) for all students admitted to B.Sc and M.Sc nursing courses within the premises. Additionally, for the convenience of students, there are ATM facilities, buses, a cafeteria, and a health center. Special facilities for people with disabilities are also available to ensure that all students can access AIMS Thrissur's resources.
