All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), located in Rishikesh, was established in the year 2012 with a major aim to impart medical education at global standards. The Government institute is not only investing in the field of allopathy but also the Indian methods - AYUSH. The autonomous institute is approved by both the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Students are taught by the faculty consisting of experienced and trained professors. Besides, the non teaching faculty assists the students in every way possible. Admission at AIIMS, Rishikesh is conducted online. Students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. To take admission to MBBS course, candidates must qualify for the NEET. Candidates willing to get admission for B.Sc Nursing course have to qualify the entrance exam held by the AIIMS, Rishikesh.
A vast traditional library, a digital library, department specific labs, well-furnished smart classrooms, an auditorium and on-campus WIFI access are among the major academic facilities that AIIMS, Rishikesh provides. Admission Procedure
To apply for admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, candidates have to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). All the nine AIIMS institutions across India - in New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar - offer admission through this exam.
AIIMS Rishikesh also offers postgraduate and doctoral, postdoctoral ( M.Sc / M.D/ M.S / M.Ch /D.M / P.D.C.C )programs with various specializations. Interested candidates must apply through their online portal. To apply for their PG and Doctoral program candidates must need to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
For D.M / M.Ch program Candidate must complete graduation (MBBS degree ) overall 55% with an internship recognized by the Medical Council of India or institute. The candidate must complete (MD/MS or DNB) degree and qualify for the Institute of National Importance Super Specialty Entrance Test entrance examination (ISI-SS).
M.sc degree program Candidate must complete graduation with 60% marks in any following (a)MBBS/BDS (55%) (b) B.V. Sc. (c) B. Pharmacy (d) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (4½ year course) (e) B.Sc. degree of minimum three years duration in any subject. And the candidate must qualify with valid marks entrance exam taken by the Institute AIIMS.
MD /MS - Candidate must complete graduation (MBBS degree ) overall 55% with internship from a recognized by the Medical Council of India or institute. And the candidate must qualify entrance examination Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET).
