All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi was established in 1956. AIIMS, New Delhi aims at disseminating high standards of education and training in the field of medical sciences. The autonomous university is approved by both the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The AIIMS, New Delhi’s faculty are well-trained, experienced and dedicated to providing high-class and quality education to the students. Guest lecturers are also invited to enhance the learning experience for students. Undergraduate courses offered by the AIIMS, New Delhi are MBBS, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic), Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Medical Technology in Radiography, B.Sc. in Dental Operating Room Assistant and B.Sc. in Dental Hygiene.

Admissions at AIIMS, New Delhi are conducted online. First of all, students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Candidates willing to take admission for MBBS have to qualify for the NEET Examination. Only female candidates are eligible for the B.Sc. Nursing course. Besides, an entrance exam is conducted for students to get admission to paramedical courses.

Meritorious and needy students are offered Merit Cum Need-Based Scholarships.

Students get opportunities to gather practical knowledge for internships through the AIIMS, New Delhi's placement unit. Eligible candidates get recruited both in and out of the state.

The academic amenities offered by the college include a well-stocked traditional library, a digital library, laboratories, on-campus Wi-Fi access, air-conditioned smart classrooms, and an auditorium. Apart from this, the institution has bank and ATM facilities, medical facilities, separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls, sports complex including a football field, cricket field, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, a swimming pool and a gym, a cafeteria and shuttle services including 15 fleet vehicles, 6 buses and 1 clinic van.

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission to the All India Institute of Medical SciencesNew Delhi, candidates have to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). All the nine AIIMS institutions across India - in New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar - offer admission through this exam.

AIIMS Delhi also offers Post-Graduated MD/MS, M.sc in Nursing and M.Chi , PhD with various specializations,
