All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)Guwahati, was established in 2020. Disseminating quality education and training in the field of medical sciences is the major goal of the Government institute, which has been approved by both the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Students are taught by a faculty consisting of experienced and trained professors. Besides, the non-teaching faculty assists students in every way possible. AIIMS, Guwahati is a co-ed institution that offers an MBBS undergraduate course with a duration of 5.5 years. Admission to AIIMS, Guwahati is conducted online. Students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. To take admission to the MBBS course, candidates must qualify for the NEET.

Well-furnished smart classrooms, department-specific labs, an auditorium, a seminar hall and on-campus Wi-Fi access are among the major academic facilities that the AIIMS, Guwahati provides. Apart from this, AIIMS, Guwahati also has 24/7 medical facilities, separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls, outdoor sports facilities including 4 badminton courts, 1 football ground, 1 tennis court, and a cafeteria.

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission to the All India Institute of Medical SciencesGuwahati, candidates have to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). All the nine AIIMS institutions across India - in New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar - offer admission through this exam.
