All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur was founded with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training and addressing regional disparities in the country's quality tertiary level healthcare. The AIIMS, Gorakhpur Central Library is being built to accommodate the various demands of the Institute's students, instructors, and staff. The initial group of fifty students received a set of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and community medicine textbooks as a present. The Library's collection of around six hundred reference and text volumes on various topics will eventually expand to include print and online editions of notable journals, books, and periodicals. For the users' convenience, separate E-Library parts and reading sections have been planned. The goal of the student housing is to offer both fiction and non-fiction books for leisure reading. The collection consists of magazines, reputable modern literature and timeless classics by well-known authors. The digital library organizes knowledge in both print and digital versions enabling seamless discovery and access to academic materials and provides professional support to faculty, students and staff in finding, evaluating, managing and using these resources. It offers a comfortable environment for both reflective and collaborative work and study. For better connection and involvement, the library makes full use of social media. This reflects the library's ongoing commitment to its users as a valued resource for learning and research.
Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided for students.
The AIIMS, Gorakhpur has football, cricket, basketball, and badminton facilities. With indoor and outdoor provisions, the campus focuses on the physical health and fitness of the students.
The campus has separate labs for each department for academic and scientific objectives. The labs are furnished and outfitted with everything needed. There are separate labs for each department. Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, General Medicine, Microbiology, Pathology, Physiology and many other departments make up the college.
The canteen of the AIIMS, Gorakhpur serves hygienic meals at nominal rates and also serves as a place for students to engage in conversations.
The medical team is present on the campus and looks after the medical emergencies on campus.
The campus has Wi-Fi facilities and the classrooms are ICT facilitated. The auditorium is equipped with the latest technology and has a seating facility of 500.
