All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar was established in 2019 with the major aim to provide a quality platform for the betterment of medical education, teaching and research. The Government runs autonomous institute of AIIMS, Deoghar is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Students at AIIMS, Deoghar are guided by both teaching and non-teaching staff who are dedicated to imparting quality education in the field of medical science. Guest lecturers are also invited to improve teaching and learning.

Undergraduate courses offered by AIIMS, Deoghar include a 5.5-year MBBS course and a 4-year B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing course. Candidates willing to take admission to the MBBS course must have qualified for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). Students who are seeking admission in the B.Sc. Nursing courses are required to qualify for the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE). The merit-based admission process is conducted online. Students must have passed their 10+2 school-leaving examination from a recognized board of secondary education.

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar, candidates have to appear for the concerned entrance exam for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For undergragraduate courses like MBBS and B.Sc Nursing, the candidates are required to score qualifying marks in All India Institute of Medical Sciences Entrance Exam (AIIMS Exam). All the nine AIIMS institutions across India - in New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Raipur, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar - offer admission through this exam.

Moreover, AIIMS Deoghar provides postgraute courses like MD and MS. To apply for the post-graduate degree, the candidates must complete their graduation (MBBS degree )overall 55% with an internship from a recognised institute by the Medical Council of India or institute. And the candidate must qualify entrance exam of Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) with a minimum 50% marks. The final admission will be provided on the basis of merits scored by the individual candidate.

Faculty

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar's faculty, both teaching and non-teaching, are a dedicated group of individuals who strive to deliver the best services possible.
