All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata (AIIH&PH Kolkata) is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and was established in 1932 because the first school of Public Health within the South East Asia region, which is additionally recognised by the Medical Council of India [MCI]. World Health Organisation [WHO] has been together by engaging with the school members of AIIH&PH Kolkata as resource persons for international training programs in increasing capacity building and promotion for health-related concerns in remote and underdeveloped areas.

AIIH&PH Kolkata confers a variety of Diploma courses in Maternal & Child Welfare, Dietetics, Health Promotion & Education, Public Health Nursing, Health Statistics, Industrial Health, and Public Health; Doctor of drugs [MD] in Community Medicine.
