Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh is a premier institute in India, situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The institute has a high reputation among higher education centres in the country, attracting students from outside the state as well as outside the country. They currently offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as certificates and diplomas.
At the undergraduate level alone, the AMU Aligarh offer almost 150 courses, divided into B.A., B.Sc., B.Tech., B.Com., B.V.A. The Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh’s admissions are conducted in various ways, primarily they are listed in the CUET (Central University Entrance Test) institution list, therefore they fill up the seats from that, whereas they have their own general admission entrance test, also some of the department conducts departmental admission tests as well. AMU Aligarh offers a range of undergraduate degrees including Bachelor of Architecture (, Bachelor of Commerce (, Bachelor of Education (, Bachelor of Physical Education (, Bachelor of Science (, Bachelor of Technology (, Bachelor of Vocation (, Bachelor of Arts (, Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Legislative Law (, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (, Bachelor of Engineering (, Bachelor of Radiation Therapy Technology (BRTT), Bachelor in Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA)Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must appear for the Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE). While the admission criteria and eligibility differ from course to course, all students must have passed their 10+2 school-leaving test from a recognized board/ council of secondary education. For the B.E / B.Tech. courses the applicant has to qualify for the AMUEEE or JEE Mains (Joint Entrance Examination Mains). Admission to B.Com and B.Sc courses are based on Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). For MBBS degree candidates must qualify for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). AMU Aligarh also provides Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Diploma courses.
AMU Aligarh also offers postgraduate Master of Law (LLM)Master of Architecture (M Arch)Master of Commerce (M Com), Master of Education (M Ed), Master of Library and Information Science (M Lib I Sc), Master of Physical Education (M P Ed), Master of Planning (M Plan), Master of Technology (M Tech), Master of Vocation (M Voc), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Chirurgiae (MCh), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM), Master of Surgery (MS), Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Master of Visual Arts (MVA), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree courses. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. To apply for their postgraduate degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination conducted by the University. For an M.Tech, degree candidate must qualify Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering (GATE). For MD / MS degree candidates must qualify for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation (NEET-PG), and for M.Ch they should qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality Courses (NEET SS) with valid marks. For MDS degree, qualifying National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) is required.
