Aliah University (AU), located in Kolkata, has a long history. It gained recognition as a state university in the year 2008. Admission Procedure
Aliah University, Kolkata's admissions process is primarily entrance-based. For course admissions, the university administers its own examination, the Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT) for the majority of programmes. It is used to admit students for undergraduate, postgraduate, and five-year integrated programmes. Before applying for the exam, candidates should review the AU Kolkata eligibility criteria. Candidates can only fill out the AU Kolkata Application Form online. Entrance-based undergraduate courses include Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Business Administration - Master of Business Administration (BBA-MBA), Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB), and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA). Scores or ranks obtained in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) are also taken into account for the B.Tech admissions.
Interested applicants can submit an online application for admission to pursue post-graduate degrees - Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Computer Applications (MCA). Applicants must meet all qualifying requirements, including having an engineering background in graduation and having passed Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT) or Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering (GATE). Candidates for master's programmes other than M.Tech must qualify the AUAT.
