On August 31, 2011, His Grace Dr. Francis Kallarakal, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly, bestowed his blessings upon Albertian Institute of Science and Technology, Kochi (AIST Kochi). AIST Kochi is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, and has been approved by AICTE. An initiative of the Archdiocese of Verapoly, AIST Kochi carries forward a proud legacy of education spanning centuries. His Grace Most. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly, today provides patronage and support to AIST Kochi. Strategically located in the industrial belt of Cochin City, AIST Kochi enjoys the company of the Cochin University of Science and Technology in its neighborhood.

The Faculty of AIST Kochi is a dedicated and highly trained team of professionals, devoted to providing students with the highest quality of education. The classrooms at AIST Kochi are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with modern technology to make the learning experience more engaging. The labs are fully equipped to allow students to perform practical experiments and gain hands-on experience in their respective fields. A language lab is also available to help students improve their language skills. The seminar hall is an important facility on the campus where various events, workshops, and seminars are conducted. The library is one of the gems of AIST Kochi, with an extensive collection of books on different branches of engineering, science, technology, management, and general studies. The library has more than 11700 volumes of textbooks and reference books in over 2400 titles. AIST Kochi has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls, ensuring that every student has accommodation on campus. The campus also has a playground where students can engage in various sporting activities and keep themselves fit. A canteen is also available, where students can purchase food and refreshments. To make commuting easier, AIST Kochi has a fleet of buses that transport students to and from the campus, saving students from the hassle of transportation.

The Placement & Training (P & T) Cell of AIST Kochi extends support to aspiring technocrats to secure successful placements. The Cell is dedicated to pursuing the task of inviting companies for placements to ensure optimal opportunities for students. AIST Kochi's P & T Cell facilitates the acquisition of employability skills amongst students by organizing short-term courses that emphasize bridging the gap between the curriculum and industry. The Cell also delivers hands-on training to undergraduate Engineering students with a view to equipping them with the necessary knowledge and practical skills expected by organizations in addition to honing their soft skills. Furthermore, the placement cell proactively participates in vocational programs such as personality development, technical seminars, and early-stage student training, while also facilitating discussions with subject matter experts for enhanced knowledge assimilation by students. The students of AIST Kochi get placed in companies like Amazon, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL, etc.

Admission Procedure

Albertian Institute of Science and Technology, Kochi offers B. Tech. and MTech degrees. AIST Kochi follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website.

For B. Tech. admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. The final admission will be based on the score obtained in Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala(KEAM).

And for PG admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree. The final admission will be based on the score obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
