Akbar Peerbhoy College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai (APCCE Mumbai) was established on 16th June 1969 by the Anjuman-i-Islam, Mumbai, and was later renamed in 1975 to honor the memory of the late Mr. Akbar Peerbhoy. Mr. Peerbhoy, who was a distinguished barrister, philanthropist, and educationist, also founded the college. APCCE Mumbai holds a permanent affiliation with the University of Mumbai and is recognized by the UGC.  

APCCE Mumbai offers BA, BMS, BSc, MSc, MCom, and PhD degrees. APCCE Mumbai follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website.

The Faculty of APCCE Mumbai is a dedicated and highly trained team of professionals, devoted to providing students with the highest quality of education. With a range of qualifications and expertise, the faculty is dedicated to creating an engaging learning environment and to helping students reach their full potential.

The building at APCCE Mumbai has 25 well-lit and airy classrooms, seven of which are equipped with overhead LCD projectors. APCCE Mumbai also has a spacious auditorium on the ground floor that serves as a seminar hall on various occasions. Additionally, three technology-enabled learning classes are made available to all students. APCCE Mumbai provides wifi and internet connections with adequate speeds to ensure smooth accessibility to online resources. The departmental labs are equipped with modern technology to provide students with practical learning sessions. APCCE Mumbai has a richly equipped computerized library, which has an extensive collection of books, valuable reference works, maps, back years question papers of college and university examinations, and a variety of periodicals. The library is enriched every year with the addition of new books, and an adequate number of textbooks are provided for each subject. Currently, the library holds around 250 CDs/DVDs and subscribes to over 60 periodicals, including national and international journals from reputed publications. APCCE Mumbai also provides a functional gymnasium with facilities for indoor and outdoor games. The small open space within the college premises is used to conduct outdoor games like box cricket, volleyball, badminton, and many more. Indoor games like Ches, Caroms, Boxing Kits & Table Tennis are also available inside the gymnasium. A canteen facility is available for students to enjoy refreshments and meals during the college hours.

Admission Procedure

For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for PG admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree and for a Ph.D. degree, postgraduation is required.
