Three hundred years ago, during the stay of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Talwandi Sabo, the compilation of Guru Granth Sahib Ji was completed. It was also prophesied that this place would be known as Guru Ki Kashi and emerge as a center for education and learning, producing scholars of Sikhism. The establishment of Gurumat Vidyalaya by Sant Atar Singh Ji Maharaj, almost two centuries after the prophecy, was the first step towards achieving this vision. This led to the Akal University, Bathinda(AU Bathinda)'s establishment in Talwandi Sabo, under the guidance of Baba Iqbal Singh Ji Baru Sahib Wale, about a century later, fulfilling the tenth Guru's prophecy. Being a full-fledged university approved and recognized by the University Grants Commission, AU Bathinda has the power to grant degrees under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is also approved by NCTE.

Admission Procedure

For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for PG admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree and for a Ph.D. degree, postgraduation is required.
