The Agricultural College and Research Institute (ACARI), Killikulum was established in 1984 as the third College under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
The aim of ACARI, Killikulum is to impart quality education in the fields of agriculture, catering to the requirements of the farmers of the state of Tamil Nadu, and facilitating research on crop improvement, production and protection.
ACARI, Killikulum offers 1 undergraduate (UG) and 7 postgraduate (PG) courses for students to pursue. The UG course is B.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture, while the PG courses are M.Sc in Agricultural Extension Education, Agronomy, Plant Protection Entomology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Genetics and Plant Breeding, and Agricultural Economics. The courses are approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and ACARI, Killikulum is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU).
Regular classes are conducted by highly experienced faculty members who work tirelessly towards imparting quality education.

Agro, Chennai, Sea 6 Energy, Bangalore, Olam IT, Chennai, AES Technologies, Coimbatore, Kultivate, Coimbatore, Shrishti BioScience, and many more.
ACARI, Killikulum provides the best available infrastructural facilities to benefit the students. The Print Section of the Library at ACARI, Killikulum has 15370 books, 17 national journals, 948 bound back volumes and 251 theses. The e-resources at the Digital Library include e-books, e-journals(CeRA), e-thesis, Krishikosh, Krishiprabha, DELNET, Commodity India and India Stat. The Library e-resources also include AV data and CD libraries. The students of ACARI, Killikulum are accommodated in separate hostels for boys and girls. ACARI, Killikulum also stresses on the importance of an active lifestyle and thus provides facilities for several indoor and outdoor games like football, cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball, etc., as well as indoor game facilities. ACARI, Killikulum also has an indoor gymnasium as well as an athletic track. ACARI, Killikulum has a fully Wi-Fi-enabled Campus.
The academics are carried out in spacious classrooms and course-specific laboratories along with a Computer Centre which includes UG Lab with 40 systems and PG e-Learning Lab with 30 nodes as well as video conferencing facilities. ACARI, Killikulum also has an auditorium for conducting academic and social programmes. ACARI, Killikulum has a dispensary with a full-time Medical Officer, staff nurse and female nursing assistant. Additionally, transportation is available for taking students to nearby hospitals in case of a medical emergency. Other facilities at ACARI, Killikulum include CCTV surveillance and a Students’ Store.

Admission Procedure
Eligible candidates who wish to take admission to Agricultural College and Research Institute, Killikulum in the course of B.Sc in Agriculture (Hons) should apply on the admission portal of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and register themselves after duly filling up the forms. The students are shortlisted based on their merit on the previous academic examination after which they need to go through an online counseling procedure. The selected students are required to verify their documents and follow the subsequent admission procedure for securing a seat.
