Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ernakulam (ASIET Ernakulam) was established and run by ADI SANKARA TRUST. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. ASIET Ernakulam supports Industry Collaborative Laboratories for the students to expand their technical creative instincts. To explore the students' creative wings further, it also has a structured Incubation Centre to help the students transform their ‘ideas’ into ‘products’. The laboratories are pristine and distinctive with high-functioning apparatus and technology services.
ASIET Ernakulam has the largest and oldest among others, which creates both a modern and postmodern ambiance starting with the old architecture of the building to the updated educational and industry-related conduct of the institute. The engineering college, ASIET Ernakulam offers bachelor's degrees in 8 streams of engineering that stretch over 8 semesters. The subjects that are contemplated with the Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] are Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Biomedical Engineering, Electronics and Communications, Robotics & Automation, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Master’s program is also available with Master of Technology [M. Tech] degree in specialisations of VLSI & Embedded Systems, Power Electronics & Power Systems, Communication Engineering, etc. Master of Business Administration [MBA] courses are also offered in Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, and Finance.

Placements
The Placement & Professional Training Department is a recent addition to the academic spectrum of Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ernakulam. ASIET, Ernakulam department mainly owes its existence to the long-felt need to provide in-house placement and professional enhancement training to the student community. The specializations and scholarly pursuits undertaken by the faculty, position the department of as the fulcrum of several future initiatives and collaborative ventures. Currently the Department of ASIET, Ernakulam is assigned the responsibility to manage 70 plus add-on courses that strengthen the employability of students and coordinate various placement drives. ASIET, Ernakulam department’s vast range of expertise provides it with overarching academic jurisdiction which in turn facilitates the management of diverse activities like making in-house publications, conducting training programmes, designing courses, organizing placement drives, and managing CUP’s examinations like BEC and OET. In addition to these responsibilities, the teaching faculty of PDT Department engages the language, communication and Life Skill classes for the BTech streams.
