Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College (AGCBC), Kolkata was established in 1964 and was originally called the Bangabasi College of Commerce. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated to the University of Calcutta, the College was renamed Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College in 2004 to commemorate the founder of Bangabasi College.
