In 1955, Prof. C.K. Gumaste, Prof. S.H. Wandrekar, and Prof. V.G. Mhatre established Academy of Architecture, Mumbai (AA Mumbai) as a small effort to provide professional education in Architecture to students who aspire to become architects. Over time, AA Mumbai has evolved into a Government Aided institution that receives financial support from the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and has approvals from AICTE and DTE.
AA Mumbai offers a BArch degree. AA Mumbai follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website. For BArch admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board.
