The Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management, Hooghly (AIEM) is a joint venture undertaking of two modern-day educational giants of eastern India namely JIS Group and Techno India Group. Established in the year 2008 with the goal of producing highly-skilled technical manpower for meeting the vast technological and socioeconomic needs of the nation and the world. AIEM Hooghly aims at creating a student-centric institute and imparting knowledge that would help the students develop lifelong skills.
AIEM Hooghly offers five B.Tech courses of 4-year duration in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Apart from the B.Tech courses, the college also offers diplomas in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology.
Students who are interested in taking admission at the Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management, Hooghly (AIEM) can do so by applying online through their official website. For admission in B.tech courses, a student must secure a minimum of 45% marks on average and individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and a minimum of 30% English in 10+2 from a recognized board. The admission for the B.tech will solely be done based on the marks secured in WBJEE/JEE mains.

The Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management, Hooghly (AIEM) has a well-equipped library with a collection of 25,000+ books along with the availability of a Book Bank facility. The library consists of a 1500 square feet reading room for the students. The library also contains other important resources such as print journals, e-journals, magazines, newspapers, previous semester question papers, etc.
AIEM Hooghly has well-designed labs with modern technology for providing the students with optimum support. The labs are also equipped with high-bandwidth internet facilities. The classrooms on the campus are spacious and have cuttijng-edge computing facilities. Important meetings, seminars, lectures, etc are conducted at the seminar halls.
Students are provided with facilities for outdoor games and sports such as cricket and football ground, volleyball and basketball court. The cafeteria of AIEM Hooghly serves hygienic food at reasonable rates. The campus provides separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
