So high, look, look and let’s sigh

A sparkling or a desultory marriage, such as it may be, is what happens after a sparkling or a desultory wedding
We’ve been up on a whole lot of stuff in the era since the end of NothingHappened. We talked about that last week or some week in the recently gone past that I can’t care to recall.

We are surging. We can feel it in our every pore. We can see it all around. We have never been here before. So high.

Last week, or some week in the recently gone past I can’t care to remember, we were up... Up, up and away... floating somewhere stratospheric, that sort of thing.

This is about going high. It isn’t the same thing. Not the same as going up, no. There are differences; folks often don’t get that but there are. They might, for instance, say they attended a sparkling marriage or a desultory one whereas it could only have been a sparkling or a desultory wedding, depending on which was which and who saw what from what point of view. A sparkling or a desultory marriage, such as it may be, is what happens after a sparkling or a desultory wedding.

Differences. Remember. Overlook. Oversee. There’s a difference. Presently. Currently. There’s a difference. No matter how you try not to see them, or be ignorant of them. Differences exist. Differences are essential. Being up and being high — not the same thing. Very often not.

Ever been up a mountain and steady on your feet? May have. That’s how mountains are climbed. Ever been on the ground and all tipsy-toddly, here and there and all over the place? May have. That’s how a high can lay you low. Being up. Being high. There’s a difference. You can be six feet under and still be high.

We’ve been up on a whole lot of stuff in the era since the end of NothingHappened. We talked about that last week or some week in the recently gone past that I can’t care to recall. This, now, is about being high. Or a bit of both? Want to know how? Fuel is up. It has gone up and up and up and up so many times you probably cannot count. You probably cannot buy it either. But then, here’s what: go smell fuel, the same fuel that’s been going up and up and up in so many multiples you’ve lost count, and once you’ve had a sniff, a free sniff, you can be high. Without being up. Or go right up that grinding queue up this or that ridge of Sagarmatha and you can be up without being high.

The magic, of course, is that our DeeaahLeeedaaah has ensured that we are sometimes up and sometimes high and we are one or the other so often that we are often not able to make what is what between being up and being high and, therefore, remain confused in outlet untangled tangles of confusion. Which, of course, is the idea. Trust NumberWon to have such ideas, that’s why we put him there.

Chests out, heads up

Come on join the club

Your heads, they must feel heady

Pinch yourselves, stay steady.
