Imphal, June 8: South Point School of Science thrashed Triveni Public School by 5-4 goals through tiebreaker today to enter the final of the Subroto Mukherjee U-17 Imphal West District Inter-School Football Tournament at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex here.

S. Ashokumar Singh put Triveni ahead in the second minute with a powerful shot and seemed to have the last laugh of the day until Punilkanta Singh braced up with a goal in the 59th minute to lift South Point School from a certain defeat. W. Robinson, S. Krishan, Wilson and Sh. Dinesh clicked, converting their kicks for South Point while for Triveni, H. Hemjit, O. Babumacha and L. Bishorjit scored. Two others missed their shots.

In the second semi-final of the U-17 category, CT High School blanked Ideal Public School by three goals. Sanajaoba Singh, S. Rahul and Bosan picked up a goal each en route to the final.

In the U-14 category, Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School pulled off a 2-1 goal victory over Nirmala Rani High School while Nilamani English School drubbed Ideal Public School by 3-0 goals through tie-break to booktheir final berths.
