Imphal, Sept. 30: SAI RC archers S. Rajendro Singh bagged two gold medals in the concluding session of the 7th Mini and 28th Sub-Junior State Archery Boys and Girls Championship 2013 held at Khuman Lampak sports complex today.

Rajendro shot his way to the gold in the 30-metre mini boys’ Indian round while National Sports Academy, Imphal’s archers Th. Boipu Baite and W. Sengoisana took the silver and bronze medals.

In the individual Indian round event, Rajendro landed another gold medal while W. Sengoisana and Th. Boipu Baite of National Sports Academy, Imphal took the silver and bronze medals.

National Sports Academy Imphal also came up with two gold medals with W. Sengoisana taking the gold in the mini boys’ Indian round 20-metre event.

Rajendro of SAI RC and Boipu of NSA Imphal fetched the silver and bronze medals.

K. Deeparani Devi of NSA Imphal hit the bulls’ eye in the mini girls’ Indian round 30-metre claiming the gold while L. Tomthinganbi of YAC and W. Brojeshwori of BCAC collected the silver and bronze medals.

Yaiskul Athletic Club also finished the day with two gold medals with Tomthinganbi claiming the gold medals in the mini girls’ Indian round and individual events.

W. Maleshowri of BACA and Deeparani of NSA Imphal took the silver and bronze in the mini girls’ Indian round.

Deeparani and Maleswori settled for the silver and bronze in the individual event.

Volleyball: Naorem Youth Volleyball Association will take on SYDA Mutum Phibou in the final of the 12th Mini State-Level Volleyball Tournament, 2013 at Khuman Lampak indoor stadium.

In the semi-final matches, Naorem Youth Volleyball Association edged out SUWC (A) Irengbam while SYDA Mutum Phibou beat KLYA Nambol en route to the final, which will be played tomorrow.

In the women’s competition, SYDA (B) Mutum Phibo beat SUWC Irengbam en route to the final.

The second semi-final saw SYDA (B) Mutum Phibou beat SYDA (A). Naorem Youth Volleyball Association (A) will meet IGO Oinam in the final of the 12th sub-junior event. Naorem Youth Volleyball Association beat SYDA Mutum Phibou 3-0 while in the second semi-final, IGO Oinam defeated KYVA Khoijuman 3-2.

Junior baseball: Delhi drubbed Assam by an innings in the 23rd Sub-Junior National Baseball Championship, 2013 at Khuman Lampak sports complex today.

In the girls’ event, Delhi scored 10 runs with Nikhat and Siji scoring two runs each, while Nirmala, Bhumika, Neha Gupta, Suman, Neeha and Puja got a run each for the victory. In the other matches, Odisha beat Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh beat Haryana.

In the boys’ category, Delhi beat Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh beat Punjab, Maharashtra beat Assam, Odisha beat Haryana and Bihar beat Himachal Pradesh.
