Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh PCC on Friday came down heavily on the BJP-led Centre for its poor administration and management skills and demanded a probe into the CBSE paper leaks.

Showing solidarity with the CBSE students who have to re-appear for Class XII economics and Class X mathematics examinations, PCC spokesperson Mina Toko stated, "The BJP is experimenting and fostering a profit-oriented education system with inflated arrogance. It is not only looting the country but also tampering with the future of the students, who are the torch bearers of the country".

The statement added, "First, it was the SSC examination paper leak that put the future of two crore applicants at stake. Class X English paper carried errors and Class XII accountancy paper was leaked, which almost ruined the academic hardship of 28 lakh students. There is rot in the education system because of mismanagement by the BJP government."

The PCC alleged that the BJP was damaging school education system and sheltering criminals in the highest educational institutes such as Jawaharlal Nehru University who sexually harass female students and continue to enjoy all privileges with the backing of the BJP-RSS-ABVP.

"The Modi-led government has failed to work effectively in the field of education. With huge political interference, the BJP has distorted the values and the essence of Indian education system, which once was praiseworthy. Taxes on higher education have increased, dropout rate has increased and performance of teachers and students has fallen. All these have led to an increase in suicide attempts," the PCC said.

"Considering such a pitiful state of the education system, the PCC demands that the BJP government must immediately agree to the demands of agitating students all over the country and initiate investigation into the Class X and XII paper leaks," Toko said.
