A scooter was stolen from a carpark in Ulubari on Tuesday afternoon. A case of theft has been registered at the Paltan Bazar police station.
The theft in broad daylight from the busy commercial area sparked concern among vehicle owners who park their vehicles at the parking space.

The 43rd foundation day of the Guwahati Refinery was celebrated on its campus recently. The ceremony was attended by Gauhati University vice-chancellor, G.N. Talukdar as chief guest. Talukdar stressed the importance of the refinery?s adopting an eco-friendly technology. He also proposed a co-operation between the refinery and the university to undertake research projects.
The Regional Transport Authority, Kamrup, has imposed fresh conditions by a notification on operations of oil tankers. The tankers will have to maintain a log book indicating time, destination and the movement of the tanker among others.
