Guwahati, May 14: Arya English High School and Sishu Niketan English High School registered wins in their respective matches of the 11th Dhan Sena Sinha Trophy All-Assam Inter-School Prize-money Cricket tournament, organised by River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre, at Latasil ground here today.

While Arya School tamed Rose Bud High School by eight wickets, Sishu Niketan clinched a three-wicket win against Don Bosco School, Sonaighuli.

Put to bat, Rose Bud English School were bundled out for a paltry total of 81 runs in 12.1 overs. Arya School achieved the 82-run target losing only two wickets in 11 overs. Taufik Alam topscored for Rose Bud with 20 runs off 13 balls.

For Arya School, Pratap Das was the pick of the bowlers having scalped three wickets for 10 runs while Rajesh Pandey and Dilip Kumar claimed two wickets each conceding nine and 11 runs respectively.

Dilip Kumar topscored for Arya with 24 runs. For Rose Bud, Taufik Alam and Akash Dubey picked up a wicket each giving away 10 and 12 runs respectively.

In the other match, Don Bosco, put in to bat, scored 112 runs for eight wickets. Sishu Niketan chased the target of 113 runs losing seven wickets in 16.3 overs.

Deepak Kr. Yadav was the topscorer for Don Bosco with a patient knock of 14 runs.

Ankit Sharma was the pick of the Sishu Niketan bowlers with a haul of three wickets for 19 runs.

For Sishu Niketan, Parvez Musaraf topscored with 35 runs.

For Don Bosco School, Mika Pait notched up three wickets for 24 runs.

Tomorrow, St Luke English School will play Little Star English School and Srimanta Shankar Academy meet Dantin Academy.
