Israeli actress Gal Gadot posted an emotional tribute to her grandfather Abraham Weiss, a Holocaust survivor, on Instagram to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Wonder Woman star uploaded a short video of herself greeting her grandfather at the premiere of Fast and Furious 5, which was released in 2011. Weiss died in 2013 at 85. “I was looking for a photo of you all night on my phone but I couldn’t find one,” she wrote. And then, she said, her assistant just happened to show her a video a fan uploaded recently. “She had no idea today is the holocaust remembrance day, and didn’t know I was looking for a photo of him/us all night,” Gadot continued. “ I wasn’t surprised.. My grandpa is always with me.. That’s not the first time he pops out of nowhere.”
English actor Damian Lewis will play controversial ex-Toronto mayor Rob Ford in a new film, Run This Town, which is currently in production. In an interview with Kit Magazine, Lewis said he has been fitted with a prosthetic to play the former mayor. The film’s cast also includes actors Ben Platt, Nina Dobrev and Mena Massoud. Platt will play a low-level reporter at a fictional newspaper, while Dobrev and Massoud will portray Ford’s close aides.
Ronnie Screwvala has compensated KriArj Entertainment and acquired the rights to Kedarnath. A source close to the development said KriArj Entertainment had been paid Rs 15 crore and now Screwvala will be co-producing and completing the film. Kedarnath is a love story set in the backdrop of the flash floods that wrecked the temple town in June 2013. The first schedule for Kedarnath, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sara Ali Khan, has already been completed in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand. Amitabh Bachchan is singing for Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out and so is his co-star Rishi Kapoor. Rishi and Big B will sing Badumbaaa, a fun, foot-tapping number. On the last day of the shoot, the team discussed how the film should have a song featuring the actors. Big B instantly agreed, and said he would compose the song himself. Director Umesh Shukla approached Rishi, who was apprehensive at first. “When Rishiji came to the recording studio, he did the first rehearsal and was surprised at his talent. Jaime King has been roped in as the female lead in indie drama Cutman, also starring Ray Liotta. The 38-year-old actress will play a druggie Josie Ray Broussard, who continues to be terrorised by the trauma of abuse she endured in her childhood, Deadline reported. Tiffany Heath has written the script, which follows the story of a retired boxer (Liotta) dying of cancer and works as an enforcer for low-level mobsters.
Emily Ratajkowski of Gone Girl has revealed that she is “camera-shy” when she is with her family, reported Femalefirst. “When I’m acting, it’s a character, and when it’s modelling, it’s a fantasy world,” she said. “Sometimes, when my friends take a picture of me on vacation, or I’m with my husband, I feel camera shy. When my husband pulls out the camera, I get super embarrassed and nervous, because it’s so much more intimate.”
