THE MUSIC MAKERS: Elvis Presley to John Denver, Ranjana to Bela Bose, the D-Trio of Amyt Datta, Anjan Dutt and son Neel were at their musical best doling out popular classics and giving the audience a whiff of their new songs from Ganesh Talkies at a special show for members of The Calcutta Swimming Club on Friday evening. CSC was described by Anjan as a place where “Bengalis and non-Bengalis merge very well”. That should work well for the audience he seeks for his “Bong vs Maru” film!

Moon Moon Sen did not take too much cajoling as she merrily grooved with Anjan to the Presley classic It’s Now or Never. “Thank you Moon Moon, I always thought you’re one of the bravest women in Calcutta, and the most beautiful too,” smiled Anjan after a quick waltz.

After mommy, it was daughter Raima’s turn on the dance floor as Anjan serenaded his Ganesh Talkies heroine with the retro Hindi number Yeh zindagi that Neel has scored and sung for the June 21 film. Pictures: Rashbehari Das
