Bhubaneswar, June 3: The much-awaited Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival, that features the most eminent names from the field of music and dance every year, will present actress and Bharatnatyam dancer Vyjayanthimala Bali this year.

There are a number of other well-known artistes, including noted Hindustani vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan, who will be a part of the festival this year.

This year the festival will enter its 18th edition. A long list of renowned artistes to perform at the festival this year has already been announced by the organisers.

“We have invited Bhratnatyam exponent and famous actress Vyjayanthimala Bali as well as prominent artistes such as Odissi dancer Madhavi Mudgal, Kuchipudi dancer Manju Bhargavee, Hindustani vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan and sitar wizard Purbayan Chatterjee,” said organiser Ratikant Mohapatra.

“The festival will be held at Rabindra Mandap from September 5 to 9. The awardees have however not been decided yet. But we will come up with the announcement soon,” said Mohapatra.
