Heat wave continues
Bhubaneswar: The heat wave condition continues in many parts of the state with 15 places recording temperatures of more than 40 degree Celsius. For the second consecutive day on Wednesday, Titalagarh was the hottest place at 44.5 degree Celsius. Titalagarh recorded the highest temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius, followed by Angul (44.1), Hirakud (43.8), Talcher (44.2), Bhawanipatna (43.5), Sambalpur (43.5), Jharsuguda (43.3), Sundargarh (43), Malkangiri (42.5), Sonepur (42), Baripada (42), Keonjhar (41), Bhubaneswar (40.8), Phulabani (40.6) and Chandbali (40.3). The state capital city recorded a temperature of 40.8 degree Celsius against the 39.8 degree Celsius recorded on Tuesday.

Cuttack: Goons fired at a contractor identified as Susanta Mohanty at Karanga in Niali police station limits in Cuttack district on Wednesday. He is at present is undergoing treatment at the S.C.B.Medical College
Special train
Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railways have decided to run a pair of special train between Somnath in Gujarat to Puri in Odisha. The train will run via Ahmadabad, Nagpur, Raipur, Rayagada and Vizianagaram connecting two religious destinations in eastern and western parts of the country. Somnath-Puri Special Train (09207) will depart from Somnath on every Saturday between May 13 and July 1 and will reach Puri on every Monday. In the return, 09208 Puri-Somnath Special Train will depart from Puri on every Wednesday between May 17 and July 5 and will reach at Somnath on every Friday.
