Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27: The CBI today interrogated Indu Dewan, a director of Mumbai-based firm Prism Heights Films and Entertainment Private Limited, and her husband Vikram Dewan in connection with money laundering scam by the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group.

Indu is the elder sister of Mumbai-based model Preeti Bhatia, who is at present lodged in jail in connection with the scam.

Indu and her husband reached the CBI office at 2pm and the grilling had continued for more than six hours.

On December 11 last year, Orissa High Court allowed time to the CBI to submit its case diary against Indu while adjudicating on her anticipatory bail plea. However, her plea was rejected last week.

Sources said Indu and Preeti had joined hands with the AT Group chief Pradeep Sethy to form a film production company by the name of Prism Heights Film and Entertainment Private Ltd in Mumbai.

On October 10 last, the central agency had arrested Preeti. It also alleged that money was transferred to the account of Indu and her husband from the group.

The CBI had found that Preeti, another director of the company, received Rs 1.17 crore in her personal account and misappropriated the same.

The charge sheet mentions that Preeti was actively involved in the affairs of the group and used to visit the head office frequently to attend the meeting of the directors. The CBI, so far, has arrested as many as 19 people, including BJD's Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy, in connection with the scam.

Though the company allegedly swindled around Rs 1,200 crore from thousands of investors, the prelim-inary charge sheet filed by the CBI in March mentioned the fraud worth Rs 578.2 crore.
