Patna: Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi will publish a book revealing the assets owned by RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his family members.

The Hindi book, the title of which has not been finalised, is expected to be released next month ahead of the budget session of the state legislature that starts from February 26.

Modi had hinted about writing the book three months ago during one of his interactions with the media. Since then a team of his aides are compiling the details for it.

Modi started his revelations in April last year, starting with the mall that was coming up on a piece of land owned by a company owned by Lalu's family. He had revealed about the farm house in Delhi and also the petrol pump allotted to Tej Pratap Yadav member on the basis of an incorrect document.

Income tax, Enforcement Directorate and CBI officials have since started action against Lalu's family, grilled them, and provisionally attached some of the properties.

The book, a source said, will be in three parts. One section on alleged dealings with shell companies, the second one on properties acquired through gifts, and the third section will be on how Lalu allegedly took land from others in lieu of getting their work done.

Each section would have a brief introduction, written by Modi, about the modus operandi of acquiring property. There will also be a glossary of documents. Modi's aides pored through more than 1,000 pages of documents to fishe out the relevant details, which are being put in the final text after getting his final approval.

"Contents are sent to him through email and he suggests the points after which final shape is given to it," said a source. "The process is going on for almost three months now and the book has almost taken final shape."
