Bhubaneswar: The mystery over the death of Rabindranath Rath deepened with police discovering that the retired government doctor had taken an auto-rickshaw with two others from his Samantarapur clinic hours before his death. His body was later found on the railway tracks at Bhubaneswar station on Friday.

While CCTV footage of a shop located near the clinic showed him taking the auto with two others, another CCTV footage near the station showed him on a motorcycle.

"He usually left the clinic around 10pm and the timing of him taking the auto an hour before his daily routine is suspicious. From his mobile phone, we also came to know that he had talked with a woman whose number was saved as "unknown hospital'. So we suspect that he was murdered after being asked to come to the station," said his son Swarup.
