Itanagar, May 21 (PTI): Arunachal Wakro orange has been registered under geographical indication (GI) along with eight other products from the Northeast.

"Arunachal Wakro orange has been exported to Bangladesh and from there to other countries in other names depriving the state of its intellectual property right," director of the Arunachal Pradesh Horticulture Research and Development Mission, Egam Basar, said in a statement issued here today.

A committee would monitor the quality and frame terms and conditions for use of the brand name, Basar said.
