South Eastern hold Youth Club

South Eastern Youth Organisation held Youth Club-cum-Information Centre 3-3 in the seventh Under-16 Men's State-Level Hockey Tournament, 2016, at Khuman Lampak main stadium.

Under-16 Hockey

Imphal, Nov. 9: South Eastern Youth Organisation held Youth Club-cum-Information Centre 3-3 in the seventh Under-16 Men's State-Level Hockey Tournament, 2016, at Khuman Lampak main stadium.

N. Amarjit struck two goals while S. Yaiphaba fetched one for South Eastern Youth Organisation. For Youth Club, Sh. Budhi scored a hattrick to level the score at 3-3.

In the other matches of the under-16 women's category, South Eastern Youth Organisation beat SAI Guwahati 2-0. S. Beni Devi and Ksh. Sonia Devi scored a goal each for South Eastern.

In another match, Ideal Club Tera beat Youth Club-cum-Information Centre 2-0. Ch. Bebika and M. Roji came up with the winning goal for Ideal Club Tera.

Northeast tennis

Vilasier Khate of Nagaland moved into the second round, beating Atap Singh of Manipur 8-0 in the men's open singles event of the fourth North East Cash-prize Tennis Tournament, 2016, played at Officers' Club, Lamphelpat, today.

In the other matches of the day, Luching L. of Manipur beat Subasish of Tripura 8-0, Lalrinawma of Mizoram beat Satyajit Singh of Manipur 8-2, Arunansu Borthakur of Assam beat Haokip Kukiof Manipur 8-1, Naithaolin Calvin of Manipur beat compatriot Ch. Pritam 8-0 and Metba Phome of Nagaland beat Th. Rajiv 8-0.

N. Premjit Singh of Manipur earned a walkover against Th. Rakesh while Ramengmawia of Mizoram beat Gibson of Manipur 8-1.

Susan Singh of Manipur also earned a walkover against T. Brojen of Manipur, Ribhaskar of Manipur beat compatriot L. Jiten by 8-7, 7-4 games.

Vitsizolie of Nagaland beat Kh. Bona of Manipur by 8-4 game, Innocent of Mizoram beat Mowinston of Manipur 8-0, Siddhant Deka of Assam beat Gorav of Manipur 8-0, Beckher Singh of Manipur beat compatriot K. Jayenta and Amlanjyoti Barua of Assam beat Romeo of Manipur 8-0 to move into the second round.
