Guwahati, Jan. 23: Assam girls today annexed the under-17 recurve team championship title in the 60th National School Games Archery Championship at the M. Tayebullah Hockey Stadium premises here.

The team of Akhapwr Basumatary, Joshna Brahma, Priyanka Sharma and Prachi Das bagged the gold. The under-17 girls also won the Indian Round team championship. Sija Sabrin, Shara Basumatary, Sonali Basumatary and Pompi Sharma tallied 1,754 points for the gold.

In under-19 girls' Indian Round, Gohela Boro and Tutumoni Boro bagged a gold and bronze medal for Assam in the 50-metre event. Gohela also tallied a gold in 30-metre event to emerge overall champion with 627 points. The Assam under-19 girls also won the Indian Round team title through Damini Boro, Tutumoni Boro, Gohela Boro and Laimwn Wary. Kampa Narzary won a gold for Assam in under-17 boys' Indian Round 40-metre and Aron Raja Boro bagged the 30-metre gold. Sanswrang Uzir bagged a gold for the host state in under-19 boys' Indian Round 30-metre.
