Jan. 21: NF Railway marched into the semi-final of the senior inter-district cricket tournament elite group, adding three more points to their tally by virtue of a first innings lead against Hailakandi on the second day of their two-day group league match at NF Railway Stadium in Maligaon in Guwahati today.

Resuming at the overnight score of one for no loss, in reply to the host’s first innings total of 305 for nine (declared), Hailakandi men were bowled out for 176 in the first innings today.

In their second innings, the railmen were 45 for two when stumps were drawn.

In Dibrugarh, Tezpur today registered an innings and 86 run win over Karimganj in their two-day group league match at the Dibrugarh District Sports Association Stadium, reports our correspondent from Dibrugarh.

At Nurul Amin Stadium in Nagaon, Tinsukia today defeated Goalpara by 154 runs in their two-day group league match, our Nagaon correspondent reports.
