Guwahati: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan (RMSA), Assam, for construction of girls' toilets in secondary schools of the state.

The AAI's regional executive director for the Northeast, D.K. Kamra, and RMSA mission director Aruna Rajoria signed the MoU in a function at the regional headquarters of the AAI here.

An official source said toilets would be constructed with Rs 113,40,000 to be provided by the AAI from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund.

He said under its CSR policy, the AAI is authorised to support such initiatives to promote infrastructure for improvement of sanitation.
