Shillong, Sept. 5: Malki SC recorded a hat-trick of wins today with a 1-0 victory over Nangkiew Irat in the Shillong Premier League here at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The first half ended goalless. Timmy Ryngkhlem scored the lone goal in the 55th minute. While Malki are riding high, Nangkiew were left to ponder what they need to do to get their first points after their fourth consecutive defeat.

Courtesy this victory, Malki now have 12 points and are in first place. Shillong Lajong are next with 10 points.

On Saturday defending champions Lajong had beaten Nongkrem 3-0. Nongkrem, are yet to notch up their first point. Samuel Lalmuanpuia, Hardycliff Nongbri and Jacob Lalrawngbawla of Lajong secured the three points for the only unbeaten team in the competition.

Tomorrow, Meghalaya Police and Rangdajied will lock horns. Both sides have six points.
