Guwahati, April 6: Tanvi S. Nadkarni of Goa and Jyoti Nagpal of the Taekwondo Federation of India bagged a gold each in the women’s under-29 and under-39 years individual events in the 5th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championship that got under way at Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan indoor stadium here today.

Y. Thangneihkimi of Mizoram won the silver in the women’s under-29 event followed by P. Soniya Devi of Manipur and Jancy K. of Tamil Nadu, who bagged the bronze medals in the event.

In the women’s under-39, Elizabeth Flora Luis of Goa won the silver while Shivani Agarwal of Delhi and Sabitri Pradhan of Sikkim shared the bronze medals.

Lalit Tirkey of Delhi won the under-59 men’s individual gold while the only other participant in the event Himan Lahkar of Assam won the silver.
