Dhubri: Dhubri in lower Assam has become the first district in the state to have the Dashboard for Analytical Review of Projects Across Nation (Darpan) portal.
Dhubri's district magistrate or DM Dashboard was inaugurated by Dhubri deputy commissioner Ananta Lal Gyani, in the presence of officials from the district administration and the National Informatics Centre (Nic) on Wednesday.
Gyani said Dhubri had become the first district in Assam to launch the DM Dashboard.
"This platform will facilitate deputy commissioners to manage and enhance the performance of the schemes and programmes of the Centre and the state government and help in implementing them in the district in a more effective manner. So far, more than 15 projects have been integrated and more projects would subsequently be integrated as per the requirement of the district administration.
The 15 schemes included in DM Dashboard are Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, VAHAN, land records, property registration, Bringing Green Revolution to Eastern India, Krishi Vikash Yojana, Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan, Kishan Credit Card, information on schemes under Sarva Siksha Abhijan, Border Area Development Programme, Janani Surukhsa Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram for Minority Welfare.
"The DM Dashboard is a highly configurable tool where one can define one's own indicators, modify existing indicators and can be connected to any IT applications of the district to capture real time progress of the projects. This would be a very helpful tool for our monthly review," Gyani said.
District informatics officer Kailash Kalita said Nic has developed a comprehensive, generic and configurable dashboard, which is an online tool to monitor and analyse the implementation of high-priority programmes and projects of the district.
Kalita told The Telegraph on Saturday that, the DM-Dashboard is available both in English and Assamese and the frequency of the updating of information about the schemes would vary.
