Academy Award winner Tom Hanks has said Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film The Post is not just a tale of press freedom or the place of women at work. Instead, it poses key questions about the US today. “I think it’s a very good patriotic movie about ‘what is the state of America?’,” Hanks told Reuters at the movie’s world premiere in Washington DC. “This is about a woman’s place and equality in the workplace .... It is definitely about the legacy of the Vietnam War and what 40 years of policy did to the United States of America. And it’s also about the journalistic integrity of people who view it as not their job, but their responsibility to go out and get the truth,” Hanks added.

Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur has signed on Hasee Toh Phasee director Vinil Mathew for a dramatic thriller inspired by true events. It is a thrilling, dramatic and emotional journey, and we couldn’t have asked for a better director than Vinil Mathew to tell this story.”
