Two teenagers were injured in a landmine blast triggered by Maoists targeting CoBRA jawans in the Lahanthan forests near Kothilwa village in the district on Tuesday morning.

No jawan was injured, as the rebels had mistimed the explosion. The two injured have been identified as Lakshmi Kumar and Arun Kumar.

Gaya senior superintendent of police Vinay Kumar said Central Reserve Police Force and Special Task Force personnel, deployed to combat the Maoists, found more than 25 landmines, around nine cylinders and a number of bombs from the area.
