A ballet performance by a Russian dancer awaits the young and not-so-young of the city at Funtasia Island on Wednesday.

Cathy, the ballerina, would present a ballet performance on the poolside, while fun freaks can groove to trance music between 11am and 8.30pm. Several games and rain dance have also been planned for the occasion.

To make it affordable for everyone, the tickets have been reasonably priced. “Celebrations are not complete unless you enjoy the day with your friends and family. Keeping the affordability factor in mind, the tickets have been priced between Rs 500 and Rs 2,000. Those are available at various outlets, including Raj Rasoi, The Disc Man and Funtasia Island,” said Kushang, one of the organisers of the event. Each couple would be charged Rs 700 for entry, while the family rate would be Rs 2,000.

In the family category, a couple can attend the event with two more persons.

Stags would be allowed at the event but they would have to follow strict rules and regulations.

“Each stag would have to pay Rs 500. Separate arrangements for stags have been made to avoid any untoward incident. Inebriated persons or anybody carrying liquor would not be allowed entry,” added Kushang.

No event is complete without good music and good food. “Apart from the Russian ballerina, we have DJ Cyber Punk from Hyderabad and DJ Jaz from Goa to rock the party with mind-blowing trance music. No event is complete without mouth-watering food. We have tried to add every possible cuisine to the menu from mocktails to the main course,” said Kushang.

Pratiksha, a resident of Bailey Road, is excited about letting her hair down with her friends.

“We have all decided to go to the venue as early as possible to get a good place. I am really excited about the rain dance and the ballet dancer. We shall have fun all day,” said Pratiksha.

But boys of Patna have big plans for the day. Aman, along with his group, will flock to the venue early so that they can splash in the water for long.

“Water park, ballet dancer and trance music make a heady combination. We all are really excited for the day,” said Aman.

Taking security as their main concern, organiser Kushang said: “We all are more concerned about the girls and the families. More than 20 bouncers would keep an eye on the visitors. Any kind of obnoxious behaviour would not be tolerated. If we get complaints from anyone in the park, we would simply ask the offender to leave the venue.”

To ensure the visitors have no problem reaching the venue or returning home, a cab service has been put in place. “Since the venue is far from the city, we would provide cabs at minimal charges from Raj Rasoi restaurant near Gandhi Maidan,” said Kushang.
