Fun, freedom and carnival - youths in the city will have every possible party ingredient to welcome 2015, and that too by the Ganga.

Christened 'Moksha Carnival', the New Year party, will be a two-day affair with organisers - NextGen Advertising Consultancy Pvt. Ltd - expecting an unprecedented footfall at Bhagirathi Vihar, a restaurant at Gandhi Ghat.

International DJs KK, Mazin and Teddy and singer Deepika and Ananya Mishra will enthral the partygoers on December 31 and January 1.

Praveen Kumar Singh, director, NextGen, said: 'In Patna, we do not have enough option to celebrate the New Year. We are proud to organise such an event for the first time in Bihar. We are giving people a chance to showcase their talent as well in the carnival.'

Enthusiasts can get registered and buy tickets on mokshacarnival.com in which awards would be given in categories like dance, fashion show, singing, act and play. He added: 'Passes are available on our official site and on bookmyshow.com. We have also tied up with Pizza Hut kiosks across the city for tickets.'

Diamond pass, priced at Rs 1,500, grants entry to one person with one free ride on MV Ganga Vihar ship and unlimited food. Persons with gold pass, priced at Rs 1,000, would get one free ride on the ship while silver pass (Rs 500) would offer only free entry to the party. One has to buy separate tickets for entry on two different days.

College students are visibly excited to join the year-ender party.

'We are quite excited! We have never thought of such events would be held in Patna one day. The concept is fresh and much conceptualised to bring out the healing power of music. If this grand event is happening in our city, I don't think people will move out to party hard anywhere else on the eve of this New Year,' Kesha Singh, a college student, said.

'The daylong championship for the battle of band dance, DJ and photography at Moksha Carnival would bring a new kind of New Year celebrations. A lot of fun, food, fusion and fashion at one place would be offered for two days,' said Kumar Prabhanjan, managing director, NextGen.

Seema Singh, a second-year student of Patna Women's College, said: 'Moksha Carnival will provide us a platform to enjoy with our family and friends. Being a music lover, this would be the best we can have at this New Year.'

Shipra, another student of Patna Women's College, said: 'I don't think I will get another opportunity to celebrate my New Year with so much fun. In Bihar, we don't get very good place to enjoy and welcome New Year with opportunities like this. Moreover, I'll get a platform to show my talent in what I'm good at.'
